July 2, 2009
On the evening of July 2, Steve
(standing, left) and Jose (taking the
photo) dinned with Sunil Pant
(standing, center), founder and director
of
Blue Diamond Society, and with
members of Blue Diamond Society.

Sunil Pant expressed his wish to see
the book
The Children Are Free
translated into Nepali, explaining that a
Christian church in Nepal is
advertising on TV that homosexuals
can be changed through the Christian
faith.

Steve had given Sunil a copy of the
book, and other material, on June 24
in NYC at the gay center in Manhattan

Two members (at left,  inserted
photos) participated in
the July 5
pastors' seminar.

Friday morning,
July 3, Steve and
Jose met with Mitini
Nepal at their
offices.
Kathmandu, Nepal
These three members of Mitini Nepal each spoke to the 25 pastors at
the July 5 Pastors' Seminar.  The individual on the left told how she had
converted to Christianity only to find that the congregation rejected her.
Tears came to her eyes as she stepped away from the microphone to
take her seat.

Indira Ghale's remarks on the July 5 Pastors' Seminar

"The July 5th program [with 25 Christian pastors] was itself very unique for the
Nepali Christian community, that is, to discuss, as we did, LGBTI issues.  Generally,
many Christians here say that homosexuality is a sin and a sign that Jesus is coming to
earth soon.   As for my experience in Nepal, pastors and clergy have never discussed
this topic before.  . . .  "
